Privacy & analytics preferences

Updated October 5, 2026.

This page explains how TrueTakeHome uses information on truetakehome.ca. For questions or requests concerning information you provide to us, email truetakehome@gmail.com.

Optional website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to our website, pages people read, links they click to Etsy and checklist downloads. Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”. You can choose “No thanks” and use the website normally.

If you allow analytics, Google receives website interaction data and technical information, which can include your browser and device details, referral information and an IP address used to derive an approximate location. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. We do not send the name or email you enter in our checklist form to Analytics. Our page-view setup removes query strings and fragments from page and referrer URLs. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in our website tag.

Google may process data on servers outside Canada. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy.

Changing your choice

Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer of any page to allow or decline analytics. We store your choice in your browser for up to 180 days, then ask again. If you withdraw permission, the website stops Analytics collection in that browser and removes its Google Analytics cookies. Withdrawal does not erase data already collected. You can also clear your browser’s site data or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Free checklist requests

If you request the free checklist, your name and email are submitted through Formspree to fulfil your request. The PDF becomes available immediately after the form succeeds. This does not subscribe you to a newsletter. See Formspree’s privacy policy for its handling of submissions. Contact us if you want to ask about or request deletion of information you submitted.

Etsy and other external links

Purchases, payment information and product downloads are handled on Etsy under Etsy’s policies. Our website does not collect your payment details. Other websites you open from our links have their own privacy practices.

Hosting and essential browser storage

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes requests to deliver and protect it. Our analytics preference is stored locally in your browser so we can remember your choice. This preference works separately from the optional Google Analytics cookies.
